Astra Inc. (alternatively referred to herein as “Astra”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) are committed to protecting your privacy on Astra services. We recognize that the trust placed in us by you requires comprehensive and responsible privacy protections, and we are therefore omitted to providing you with a positive, easy, and secure online experience.
We recognize the need to maintain the confidentiality of information that you reasonably expect to remain private. You expect, deserve and receive nothing less than our fullest commitment to your privacy.
Any information you enter during the submission of forms or an order on any Astra websites may be collected and stored in our database. In order to better define the type of information that is collected, we have identified and grouped it into seven categories:
General Non-Specific and Demographic Information
Environmental data from the sensors on Astra products
We collect data from several sensors built into Astra products, such as the ambient light sensor on Astra cameras or wireless signals. These sensors collect data of the use environment. By recording this information, Astra products can react to the environment conditions to keep the operation. For example, Astra cameras will turn on night-vision mode automatically when the environment is dark.
Video and audio signals and data
When you enable the recording or streaming features of your Astra camera, we may record and process video and/or audio recordings from the device, subject to your configuration and settings. This may include capturing and emailing to you portions of this data as part of a notification or analyzing the data to identify motion or other events. We may process information from your Astra camera so that we can send you alerts when something happens. In addition, if you have the recordings features enabled, we will capture, process, and retain video and audio data recordings from your device for the duration or the storage size of your recording subscription plan (i.e. 10 days, 30 days or 10GB, 30GB) and you will be able to access those recordings using the Astra services.
You may save and may choose to share certain content like video clips, live video streams, images, captions, and comments for other people to access using the Astra services. We will collect and store information that will allow us to save or share your content as directed by you through the Astra services.
Technical information from the device
In order to improve your experience over time and help troubleshoot any problem you may encounter with Astra products, we record the device model, serial number, UID, software version, hardware version, and technical information such as WiFi signal strength.
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operation system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.
Customer proprietary network information
Should we provide telecommunications services to you, we may collect and maintain certain customer proprietary network information (“CPNI”). Your CPNI might include the types of telecommunications services you receive, usage information, user IDs and password, billing, and transaction information.
Astra may share your personal information to trusted partners/distributors who are acting on behalf of or with Astra under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help Astra support you during your use of Astra services and Astra products, or help Astra communicate with you about offers from Astra and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share your information.
When you choose to connect third-party products and services through Astra platform, you are shown details about any proposed exchange(s) of data between Astra and the third-party that is providing the product or service. In some cases, Astra or the third-party will instead (or also) ask for permission to control the products that you have connected. Your explicit consent is required to allow any of these exchanges or requests for control and you will be able to revoke it at any time.
We may respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process by disclosing your personal information and other related information if required by law or regulation. We also may use your personal information to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

Except as may be required by law or authorized by you, we DO NOT sell, trade, or share your CPNI, including your calling records with anyone outside of Astra or with anyone not authorized to represent us to offer Astra products or Astra services, or to perform functions on our behalf.
We will ask you for your opt-in consent to share your personal information with a third-party for any purpose not described above or as otherwise required by applicable law or regulation. Circumstances may arise where, whether for strategic or other business reasons, Astra decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize businesses in some countries. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal information to prospective or actual purchasers, or the receipt of it from sellers. It is Astra’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on Astra websites of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
